Thoughts on gun control?

Much stricter background. Much stricter before every purchase and no person to person sales, only legit businesses. 

 

I'm curious what you would add to the background checks to make them stricter? 

 

Here are the reasons for failing:

It's idiots that cause all this BS to happen.  When you look at how many guns are out there and the owners the percentage of them that are legally owned and used in criminal ways is probably pretty minuscule.  Since I am lazy and don't want to look up stats to back my argument I will toss it out as an opinion.

You can make ammo in your garage.  Some my mom's family back in Greece made their own ammo... long time ago.  Tools are much better now, it would be even easier.

I've done this, with shotgun rounds. Making buckshot pellets from lead pellets (from a bb gun) is easy. Not that hard to make them with aluminum provided you have a decent forge set up.

 

Or you can make coin shot. Which is hilarious because quarters make a wizzing sound when they get fire from a shotgun.

I had a very similar slingshot.  The handle was red though.

 

I hit a bird once, but I did not kill it.  I felt so bad as I hunted it down to finish it as it could not fly.  I treed area.  I never shot a bird again =D... god damn I am a wimp.

Nah, that's a good thing. I had a similar reaction the first time I shot a deer. I had been shooting guns all my life, but when you add death to the equation, suddenly it's not just a fun pastime anymore. That moment of seeing this living thing react to a sudden hole in its chest had a serious impact on me at 14. I do not hunt today because I do not enjoy taking life.

I understood that:  Drops your guns and go home.  That is how I see me if I was sent to the middle east and told to shoot some guy I have never seen before... assuming he was not shooting at me of course.

How you didn't kill it, I don't understand. Those things hit hard as hell with a full draw. Supposedly the black one (the red is adjustable if I remember right) can hit 200mph.

I think I used a marble sized rock.  It was not a center mass hit, clipped a wing or something..  I lost it in the leaves/trees/surroundings BTW.  Never caught it to kill it.

Well, when I was younger I killed a Sea Gull with a single-pump BB rifle. I hit it in the wing. It "froze" in a sort of "about to take off" position, fell over, landed in the water upside down, never moved again.

 

Not really upset about it, Sea Gulls suck ass. Especially when you are walking on a pier and step on a fish bone that one of them shat out. And they COVER piers in shit.

 

Never actually killed anything with a "firearm" though. Hope I never have to (well, hunting for food is another thing)

Criminals will get guns no matter what laws are passed to stop them.   That is why they are criminals. 

 

If they can't buy one at a store, they will just get one illegally.   And no, is not more difficult to get a gun that way.

To keep it short and to the point: Should guns be banned? No. Does there need to be changes so that we can keep guns out of the wrong hands? Absolutely yes. It's WAY too easy to get a gun in this country. 

I suggest anybody who says otherwise watch this video.

Gun control is perpetuated by usefull idiots or over emotional morons.

When Dianne Feinstein gets on the senate floor to talk about the almost half a million malpractice deaths then I will allow her to bitch about "gun violence" and 30 caliber half second clip military style ghost guns. When Obama cries about those almost half a million deaths on national television then he can cry about some Statistically insignificant mass shooting.

8900 gun homicides in 2013, almost 10 percent from Chicago alone. Almost all gang related. I don't care if some low life gangster degenerate filth kill each other so it doesn't concern me. This leaves us with an actual number of around 1500 murders. A minuscule number, and most would have happened anyway. A small price to pay for liberty. 

As to suicide Australia has pretty much the same suicide rate and Japan 3.6 times that of us. Also .5 to 3 million self defense uses of guns a year. 

 

I want less gun control.

national conceal carry and castle doctrine and stand your ground

no state gun control laws

No fopa bans on ap ammo

no taking away of rights just because you smoked some pot or got into an argument with your spouse 

and no damn atf. Dissolve that worthless parasitical agency.

oh and if you're British please keep quiet, same if you're german or Swedish or from any other country that allowed in hundreds of thousands of "refugees" because those "refugees" commit crimes at more than 20 times the rate of the natives and that includes murder. Garbage, if you ask me. The show completely shat the bed and removed what was probably the most interesting and important (in terms of character development) story arch from the novels. Also, toned down the violence to comical levels. Saito straight up turns people into minced meat in the books. I mean, that's what a 20mm cannon will do to you. Shoots you super dead.

 

And then the author goes and dies...
