Hello guys.

First: Sorry for my bad english.

Secound: Sorry for the title :P  *Help.

I'm building a new pc for gaming and work, and i need help to know if I'm doing the right thing.

1. Budget & Location

I'm from Brazil, here the prices vary widely and the dollar is U$4 x R$1 (7x1 joke soon) (minimun salary:  R$788,00 ~ $197).
So I would say that my budget is $ 1500.00

2. Aim
I am a programmer, I will use Visual Studio, it does not consume much resource, since my notebook (Dell Inspiron 15R 5000) can already support.
As for the game plan to run the games I play now in full (BF 4, Crysis, CS: GO) and if possible the next games (Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Star Wars Battlefrond and HL3?.).

3. Monitors
At first I already have one monitor 1080p, I might buy another later.

4. Peripherals
I already have all the peripherals.

5. Why are you upgrading?
I moved recently and left my old pc at my mother's house, where I will weekends. So I need a new PC for my apartment, and I also need the PC for work and play new games.

PC configuration that is in my mother's house:
CPU: I5 2500K OC: 4,1Ghz
Memory: 4x 4Gb Corsair DDR3 1600Hz Vegeance
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z77M-D3H
SSD: 1x 500GB Samsung
Storage: 1x HDD 1Tb (for the games)
Storage: 1x HDD 2Tb (for file storage)
GPUs: 2x HD6870 in crossfire
Power Suply: XFX 550W

The configuration that I plan on build:

CPU: FX 8370 alternative: I5 4690K
MOBO: Gigabye 970a ud3p (I wanted the MSI Gaming 970 but did not find) or for intel z97

GPU: 1x XFX R9 285
Power Suply: Corsair CX 600
Memory: 2x 8gb 1866 fury
SSD: 500 gb samsung 850 evo
Storage: HDD 2Tb
Case: Phanton 410

Estimated Price: R$5380,00 ~ U$1345

Thanks guys! :)

CPU: i5 4690k or if you want to spend a bit less money get an i5 4460

Looks good other than that psu and you would want a LGA 1150 mobo.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

That depends, are you getting the i5 4690k or the 4460? the 4690k is overclockable so with it you get a z97 board which is also overclockable. BUT if your getting the i5 4460 you would want a cheaper H97 board instead

For cpu I would pick i5 4690k.

Also, case You picked is good, but check price for NZXT S340. It's verry good case with a lot of space, good airflow, seperate place for power supply and hard drives, and option for mounting water cooling,

Sorry for my low english, but I'm trying my best  ;)

4690k.

The R9 390 it twice the price of the 285 here :(

The 285 It's not enough to play?

It's a bit tricky to find cases in Brazil.

The 390 its U$500 here. I think I will get one of my HD6870 to put in this build and then buy the GPU in a few months.

With the HD6870? I was thinking of taking the HD6870 and leave the 390 when I buy it.

One question about the forum: Can I select 2 or more answers as Solve?

Let's try not saying that you need a R9 390 to play games.  The 390 is a higher end card.  There is nothing wrong with gaming on a mid-range card like a 380.  I use a R9 280 and although sure, I would love a GTX 980Ti... I play any game just fine after I tweak settings a bit.

Gimme a sec... I will do a Haswell build as cheap as possible...

The two fans are low RPM so they won't be loud while doing their job of introducing fresh air into the system.

Of course you can upgrade areas like the CPU.  Adding the 4690K with a Z97 motherboard will be $50-$100 more.

If you have enough, you can add almost any GPU you want.  The 550W GS is good enough for a single R9 390 (stock voltage).
