GTX 960 in i5 4690 vs GTX 970 in i5 4440

For a Gaming PC, is it Good to go for a GTX 960 in a i5 4690 (considering a futureproof CPU and later upgrading the GPU) or to go for GTX 970 with a i5 4440 (will the CPU bottle neck GTX 970???)... Is any other GPU recommended including AMD's...

A 4460 wont bottleneck a 970, and there's no real way to future proof a system. You would be better off getting the 4460 ad the 970.

Depends on the game but i would say no.

Games like citizen skylines will of course not get 300fps but you be better of with the 970 in general.

They perform the same,only that the 4690 has more features and higher clockspeeds,but its noticeable at all

r9 390 and a 4460

I'd suggest you to get a R9 390 with i5 4460.

 

If you wanna go team Green, Get the 970 instead of R9 390.

 

R9 390 is cheaper and performs better or similar.

Preferably 390, it's a bit quicker and. And may get more of a DX12 boost on top in 2016 and end 2015 games.

the 970/4440, 4690 is not really worth it, if you want more frequency just get a 4690k

The 970's added price gets you a 4690K + 960. And if the games you play are CPU heavy, it would still be a good idea to get the overclockable chip.
