Well....darn.

d3sl91

Second PB278Q got here a week ago, and after some burn in and usage.... it has the same badly non-uniform color as the first. I am really not in the mood for continual "lets play the lottery!" on screens. As it will likely cause me to give up on Asus products (monitors at least). Even though I know they are generally decent. But having this on a 400-500 dollar unit is...discouraging.

So, I need a recommendation:

1. $500-600 (ish)

2. 1440p

3. 27-34"

4. Ultrawide = meh, but I'd be cool with it.

5. Photo-editing worthy color reproduction.

6. 60hz, and "okay" lag/blur for casual gaming.

7. VESA

8. For mostly work, partly entertainment/gaming. Spreadsheets, emails, multitasking. And then I do photography for a hobby on the side.

AMVA or IPS. IPS glow is quite annoying to me, however.

The BenQ linus just reviewed (XR3051) is tempting. And I feel like a monitor with the same panel and size, just, no gaming stuff (144hz, freesync etc), may be in my pricerange....but I dunno.

Thoughts?

What are you going with this monitor? Like is it for mostly work?
