Money isn't too much of a concern. I just would like to know what other people would get and why. I want to be able to game but also multitask.

If it is simple multitasking (i presume no heavy-ish workstation uses like heavy adobe) then definitely go skylake. You really have no real need for the two extra cores unless you require the CPU power. Especially if you are just gaming, 4 cores is more than enough.
