What chat client do you use?

Do you use Google's Hangouts which integrates with SMS & Gmail or do you prefer Facebook Messenger to get everybody, even your mom onboard? Maybe you use something else like LINE, Skype, Viber or Slack! Tell me. I try to use Facebook Messenger myself because I get free unlimited chat data with my carrier and all of my friends and family are using it. It's great, but I'd like SMS integration or something more!

WhatsApp and Hangouts only.

Don't do Facebook, texting I do through Hangouts.

No one I know is on Hangouts, which sucks. I don't understand the point of WhatsApp—you pay for messaging....to pay for messaging with data.

Well, Messenger has some deals with carriers for unlimited free data, soo...yeah, but I use SMS too.  :D But getting someone's number is sometimes a pain.

Whatsapp

Line

Viber

Skype for video call

Viber was great, but the phone call quality drops badly recently

I don't know why, and I only use LINE because peer presure

before skype I use hangouts a lot, but HD quality only limited for quad core user only which is ridiculous.

and for whatsapp, I never paid my usage, they always give free 1 year subscription every year

it's great, fast, and small, but I still prefer viber because there are more emoticons with that.

and btw, I never use any Data subscription from my Telecom company either

I always connected through Wifi. 10GB for 20$ is bullshit.

Meh. Hangouts is still my preferred choice. I would still be using the Messages app that came with my phone if my friend didn't show me Hangouts.

SMS mainly. Some Whatsapp (never paid for it - and to clarify, I haven't done anything illegal or w/e, the app's just never prompted me for money). I would probably use FB messenger since almost everyone's on FB but I don't use it so that's not an option for me.

Oh, gosh, that's horrible. You can get unlimited data for like €19 (with that unlimited FB data too) on Bitė

Oh and I missed out Skype but I use it for a very specific purpose.

Personally I hate how it's such a massive pain to get to the bottom of the chat on there though so I don't rate it very highly.

Do you never leave your house?

Outside is overrated

/jk

I usually travel from a place where I have WiFi to another (like to school or internship).

And otherwise I am not on internet and easily contacted through Whatsapp, who cares. It's not like anyone contacts me. And if they really need to reach me they can send a text message or call me.
