My first build, Asking for inprovements.

Amrasios

Hello guys, Thanks for coming over.

I'm planning to build a desktop for about €1000-€1100

This is the list I had about in mind:

Cpu: Amd Fx-9370

Gpu: Msi GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G

Mobo: Msi 970 Gaming

Ram: G.Skill TridentX

Psu: Corsair CX750M

Ssd: Kingston SsdNow V300 120GB

Hdd: Seagate Desktop St2000DM001, 2TB

Cpu-Cooler: Cooler Master GeminII M4

Case: NZXT 450 Noctis

I'm just slightly wondering tho either it's actuerly a good idea to go with a air cooled cpu if you'r running Amd, Since the Fx-9370 is kinda overpowered when overclocked and can reach up to 5GHz (Not that I'm planning to go that high tho.).

I was thinking either it'd better if i'd just pick up a basic AiO cooler. Also, with the noctis I'm planning to make it like the main piece of my room so Thats why I've chosen for the GeminII 4M because it's so nice and thin and won't block the viewing capability in the case. However!: If I'd go for the GeminII 4M, Would I defenetely need low profile Ram with the 970 Gaming?

If not I think I could save some out there.

If you have any ideas on how to improve this system, for the same amount of money or answers to my questions. Please, reply :D

just a simple thing: i personally would get a western digital drive, having had very bad experiences with seagates... and it won't be more or less expensive.

Also how much ram?

SSD Nows have been changed, they are much slower than they used to be.

CX series PSUs are not for gaming, they are generally terrible PSUs.

Also, opt for Intel, please.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

Change out the FX and 970 Mobo and get a locked i5 + H97 or H81 board instead.

Also that SSD is not a good one. I suggest getting a Crucial one instead.

And the last thing to change is that PSU. I suggest a SeaSonic or SuperFlower unit.

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

9370 is poo. Get an 8320 if not the cheapest (quad core) i5 you can get your hands on.

Don't get that CPU. It's definitely not something you want to be running.

I'd also go for at least a 990FX motherboard if you absolutely have to go with that chip.
As others have said, the V300 is no longer a good SSD.
