ok i'm trying to find the right stand offs but sadly no idea which ones will have the out lock thread on them anyone found the exact ones seen at 8:26?

Sorry if this has been answered, what the crap is the standoff mounts... mounts? that Linus hammers in to the wood called?

Please can you give us the part number for the mounts you used.

 

The ones that you hammered into the table to mount the motherboard(And i am assuming everything else)

 

PS @CrackerFormula did you get anywhere with finding out what they were how to get them

Holes in Soft Metals

 

if you looking for them on the MC Master Site

you will need 6-32 thread size which has the part number of 97191A150

 

mystery solved for those who were wondering

 

Press fit insert with 6-32 thread size will work on standard motherboard raisers

And yet the parts list was wholly incomplete! the most important parts of the parts list were left off. what part number were the devices that held the stand off's in the desk? 8:20 of the video! can not find ANY reference to those except a quick flash onscreen...plz help!

Sorry to bring back a old thread, but just found the dam(n) inserts after looking for a few months for a different project I'm planning and thought I would share.

https://www.globalindustrial.com/p/fasteners/Threaded-Inserts/thread-inserts-for-wood/6-32-insert-for-hard-wood-brass-400-006 looks almost identical to the McMaster part and comes in a 25-pack which is more than a few PCs or to mount whatever you want.
