"Xbox One Can Do 4K Gaming"

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hello, guys

Read this:

“There’s no hardware restriction there at all.” So, in theory, the Xbox One could support 2K or perhaps even 4K gaming – if there’s content for it at those resolutions."

Source:

Well, when i saw this articule i ask myself if the Xbox One is going to be the kind of product anounced at  4 a.m on TV (TV Marketing)(thousands of lies)?  Why because that products are being descript as "the most wonderfull product bla bla an by the way if you call in the next 3 seconds you will get two instead of one by the same price!!!"  I hate when big companies lie widely open...

I have two main reasons

1.-barely Dual-titans in 4K throw 60fps in a game with medium settings ( 60fps i think is the ideal Frame Rate to play a game)

2.-The Xbox One has one 1.4 HDMI Output what it means is 4k at 4096×2160p 30Hz

Thoughts? Can someone correct me if i'm wrong?

4096×2160p 30Hz not 24Hz

anyway

theoretically it can play 4k games

an example would be a side scroller game

i dont know why u find this unbelievable

Hmm i can definitely see somebody paying 3000-4000$ for 4k monitor/TV...

... and trying to play on it with poor-man low-end PC like xbox one or ps4.

Definitely.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

Microsoft know exactly what they're saying here, and they really can't lose from it.

Everyone will look at this and say 'YESS XBONE plays 4K suck it PC bla bla bla'.

And are Microsoft wrong? Like you said, theoretically it can play 4k, but no company will be stupid enough to build a full game at 4k on those specs, so really Microsoft aren't wrong, they're just being smart.

i still don't agree with it, just saying! :P

They pulled similar marketing rambling prior to the release of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Sure it can render something in 4k, but it won't be anything that looks good.

umm u could have said the same EXACT thing when the ps3 was released

1080p tv/monitors were very expensive

consoles will have a 10 year life span

in 2-3 years they will be around 2000$

If I read this correctly, the Xbox One and PS4 have like the power of an HD 7850ish, which totally will not do well when gaming at 4k, but I def could be wrong :(

Ha, what is basically an FX 8320 and a Radeon HD 7850 playing 4K games. Makes me laugh. Only the higher end cards (780, Titan, 7990) can even touch 4K.

xbox one on 4k probably would look like xbox 360 on 1080p

the hardware on xbox one is BARELY suited for 1080p

bare in mind that 4K is 4 times 1080...

yeah also bare in mind xbox360's hardware is 8 years old and has a resolution of 720p sometimes even lower (and support for 1080p upscaling)

Upscalling i forget that hehe sorry but at the point of resolution desn't even mean something just a number i rather play Crysis 3 720p or lower to gain some quality on the textures, AA ,etc.

It can run it at 4k but the graphics would look bad if it wanted to keep the games running at a stable smooth fps.
