64 - bit 20 FPS boost legit?

noisebomb44

So ive just found a link on "full invasion 2" a mod of the game warband, that tells me typing in "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 4096" will gain me some extra FPS in all of the games, but doest this work?

microsoft says that it could render my computer inoperable

Is this legit?

It's generally common sense to follow microsofts advice...

Have you tried googling the command ?

I dont believe it would help that much unless the command is for users who never reinstall/clean instal their OS and its full of junk that slows down their PC's performance and this would get rid of the junk.

i'm sensing derp here.

The BCEdit /set increaseuserva Megabytes command can specify any value between 2048 (2 GB) and 3072 (3 GB) megabytes in decimal notation.

bring up the CMD, in Command Prompt type
"bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 4096" without quotes and press ENTER

This command is supposed to allow applications, such as games to use more than 2 GB of ram

which i think win 8 and 10 already does

Yeah situations peak, lowe it though what can you do.

EDIT: Non UK translation:

SD22:Being spied on isn't a good situation (referring to Windows 10)

K:Yeah, it's pretty bad, but it's integrated with the OS, if you want to use it what can you do. (other than disable what you can providing you're using a Pro license)

Win 7 does too.

although accoring to some people, it doesnt

but ive played games that requiered 4 GB of ram on my win 7, but maybe those games did something to claim those 4 GB, and some other games like warband that only claim about 2 GB get a FPS boost out of it

Im sure BF4 is ram hungry and also GTA V uses more than 2.

Thats why they claim 4 GB

Maybe games that doesnt claim 4 GB can benefit from this, if you install massive mods, like full invasion
