Best AM3+ MB

Hey guys, which motherboard with socket AM3+ in price around €100-120 manufactured by MSI/Gigabyte/Asus is the best? I know that motherboards around that price are pretty basic, but are enough for what I am building right now with FX8320 and GTX770. I've found these options: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3

                                                                                                              MSI 990FXA-GD65

                                                                                                              Asus Sabertooth 990FX (maybe R2.0)

                                                                                                              Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0

Why not a 970 Extreme 4? It should be able to do everything most people need.

They don't overclock as nice as the 990x chip set and don't have the same features.

I have an 8350 and the Sabertooth R2.0 - I can only say good things about it. You'll probably have to get the R2.0 version if you don't already have an AM3 CPU because the non-R2.0 version would need a BIOS update otherwise. But yeah, great motherboard.

CPU: FX8350 @ 4.8GHz (1.488V)  |  MB: Sabertooth 990FX R2.0  |  GPU: Sapphire HD7950 OC

Storage: 128GB Samsung 840 Pro and 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz  |  Case: Define R4  |  Cooler: Corsair H100i  |  OS: Windows 8.1 Pro

Can you be please more specific about the options you'd choose?

Also all these boards have PCI-e 2.0 x16 = PCI-e 3.0 x8. Wouldn't that bottleneck the GTX770?

ASUS have released an even newer model of the Sabertooth with PCI-e x16. The "Saberooth 990FX Gen3 R2.0"

The OP has a 8320 anyway. The features aren't the same but they suffice for most. The 'extra features' are far from essential.

I have the AMD 8350 CPU and the Asus M5A97R2.0 MoBo and I am very satisfied. It costs arround 120 bucks and does everything a high end gamer needs. :) Well except the extreme extreme gamers. :D

AMD 8350 Octocore CPU / Asus M5A97R2.0 MoBo / 16gb Crucial Memory / 700 Watt Thermaltake PSU / Samsung 840 120 gb SSD / AMD Radeon MSI HD 7870 2gb SC / TP Link Wireless card / Zalman Z11 case

Well the cpu/mobo doesn't do as much for 'gamers' as a solid graphics config would. No need to spend more on performance that games won't utilize.

Generally, it's better off to spend the extra money on peripherals to enhance the experience. Specs aren't everything.

Sure, but the topic was best AM3+ MoBo and CPU.

                                                                                                              Asus Sabertooth 990FX (maybe R2.0)

                                                                                                              Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0

Here's the thing OP, the FX-8320 is binned a bit lower than the FX-8350.  So chances are, any 990FX board will have sufficient VRM cooling and power phases to handle any OC, I think your chip will be more limiting.  That being said, I wouldn't spend more than 150 bucks, get the features you need, don't overpay for what you don't.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

@Pcbudgetsolutons might be right, so I shall stick with gigabyte, it looks nice and goes well with their new windforce cooler, also it supports SLI for further upgrades. Thx all.

If you have your mind set on the Gigabyte, be sure it's the Rev 4.0 version, previous revisions of the board have VRM overheating issues that would cause the CPU to throttle when overclocked and even at stock in some cases.
