Question about flashdrives

Why do they make such small flash drives with large amounts of storage: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820173098 when SSDs with the same amount of price are 10x as big? I understand that they are smaller, but i would be willing to sacrifice speed for size.

Speed an reliability are the main things.

A ssd will use lower density flash chips, that last more write cycles, and will have better/ faster controllers that can push the flash to its limits.

Also the problem with larger flash drives is that their speed isnt comparable to their size, as you will be copying fairly large files to a 120gb flash drive, but its speeds will make the transfer take ages.

My flash drive says "up to 100mb/s" and is usb 3 but is no faster than a usb 2 flash drive, topping out at around 40 mb/s transfer speeds.
