Whats wrong with the acer? its like the perfect monitor (aside from a few people with issues but they get RMAd and fixed)

While fresync/gsync and high refresh rates are cool; I prefer colour accuracy :).

The Acer is a pretty nice IPS display and is quite decently colour accurate, a nice light AG coating, so not too grainy and when calibrated is pretty decent with good black levels, nice contrast and accurate colours

So.. not sure of your point... its not a pro-art monitor or anything... but for most photo/video tasks should be colour accurate enough, good viewing angles, and G sync, 144hz and 1440p

Its pretty much perfect

Only downside is the quality control

I have a couple VA-IPS monitors that are really nice and I havent found any others that are close to as good (though I havent tried that particular model)

Would go with the 1440p display. Only way I would do 4k is if I had at least one 980 ti and wanted the extra pixels for productivity.
