I still buy cd's from the music shop.  Perfect quality, I can rip them myself, I am supporting the artists and keeping a job alive for the kids in the shop and I have the cd and jacket to add to my physical collection which I think looks much more impressive than a set of numbers on a hdd.

Youtube downloader that actually complies w/ dmca rights.

Monstercat Gold, Itunes, sometimes bandcamp. Other than that, I think most people just convert from YouTube.

Usually YouTube, YouTube to MP3 for my phone, I'll just be honest and say that I've never paid for music, unless you count DLC's for games with extra soundtracks.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

I suggest it too, and up until recently (they're working on it though) you could download entire channels. I did that for a couple hard style channels. Pretty much don't listen to it outside of DJing though. Supposedly using youtube as a public resource makes what I do with it legal. Haven't looked it up, but from a friend that recommended it to me told me that. I dunno how true or misconstrued that is though.

Otherwise I just listen to http://radio.qdance.nl/ and get my hardstyle fix there or watch live sets on YouTube xD.

Nowadays, I get the majority of my music from Spotify. Previously I had hundreds of CDs. And a giant collection of mp3s / flacs. Many of those were ripped by myself, some may have been obtained by another method.

First I'll just download it.  Then I listen to it, throw away the rubbish and start looking for what I want to keep.

From that point on it all depends on how many numbers I liked of a particular CD.

If it's enough, I'll get the CD either in the store or through Discogs.

If I only like one or two songs, I'll get those on Bandcamp, Halotan, 7digital or similar.
