Not realy impressed.

THe Zotac 980TI AMP Extreme is higher clocked.

Higher stock clocks are irrelevant if you're overclocking, you know... That thing this card is aimed at.

The Msi one you mean?

Cause the Zotac is decent.

Naw not really all it is a reference card with a massive dumb looking cooler on it.

How much difference do you think there is between my MSi 980Ti 6G and the lighting? 1 FPS?

Running it at 1450-1470 without extra voltage.

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.

No word on clock speeds or memory speeds for Lighting so, no one can really say for sure, it could be 1fps it could 5fps. No one knows right now.

5 fps for a few extra Mhz? LOL.

5FPS is the difference between a reference card and a good aftermarket card with custom PCB.

There is a lot that comes in to play vs just raw clock speeds. Stop being silly friend.

How much difference do you think there is between my MSi 980Ti 6G and the lighting? 1 FPS?

Running it at 1450-1470 without extra voltage.

It could Overclock a lot higher, the Lightning will have some of the best components in it. This will make the 6G components look terrible, the GPU will run cooler, looks a lot better than the 6G, also it will last longer when you overclock it as it will have better components in it. The Lightning might have Samsung memory, you might even get 1600Mhz on the core and 8000Mhz on the memory, this will increase the FPS by about 8 FPS if you look at reviews comparing core and memory speeds

My memory is already 8000Mhz without any problem.

The lighting is gonna be louder because it has three small fans instead of two small ones. I don't really care about temperatures because my Msi stays under 75C or 80C on really hot days.

If I added voltage the clock speed would be around 1500-1520 depending on how good my chip is.

The Lightning still has better quality components in it. Also it will last a lot longer at the Overclock compared to your 6G, also we still do not know what fans the Lightning is using, it might have improved it compared to previous versions. Also you might not get 1500Mhz on the core.

90%? More like 99% of all the games ever created for PC don't support 21:9 without third party programs

Don't most AAA titles within the last 5 years support 21:9?

First 21:9 came out in 2014? I know 21:9 TV's have been a thing since 2010/2011

Edit: Found it:

The Philips 'Cinema 21:9 TV' was the first LCD television of this aspect ratio.[9] The first model launched was a 56-inch screen size, although it was no taller than a conventional 16:9 42-inch television. Models released in 2010 and 2011 had a screen sizes of 50 and 58 inch.

Early reviews have claimed that it is "one of the coolest TVs" to enter the market for some time.[8] This set was previewed in the UK in advance of its release date of 18 June 2009. Pre-release launch events were held at numerous Philips retailers throughout June 2009.

The online advertising campaign surrounding the Cinema 21:9 TV, titled Carousel, went on to win the most prestigious award in the advertising industry, the Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.[10]

In 2012, Philips stopped production on all its 21:9 televisions due to lack of demand.[11]

Oh wow I didn't know it came out that recently. Yeah I've looked at 21:9 in person and it just doesn't appeal to me. Very much prefer standard 16:9 and then really looking forward to the oculus coming out next year.

Yes games made in 2014 and 2015 not games made before that, lmao.

You realise there is about + 1 million PC games out there?

I have 600 Steam games, 50 on Origin and like 20 on Uplay. How many of those support 21:9?

Does Assassin Creed 1, 2 and 3 support 21:9? How about Far Cry 1,2? Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or Shift 2? Mafia 2? Medieval 2 Total War from 2006? Just Cause 2? Borderlands 1? State of Decay? Chivalry: Medieval Warfare? Dark Souls 1? Mount & Blade: Warband?

Even if games require software to support 21:9 resolutions, it should not be a concern  because using the software is actually pretty damn easy.  Flawless widescreen for example is such an easy tool to use.   Just download it free and find your supported game if it does not support 21:9 by default and Voila! Even have options such as increasing Field of view like in GTA5 which would not be present in the original settings.
