Ts3 'Failed to resolve hostname' Error

Fps_SaVant

Hello LTT community!

So after I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Pro I have a problem with my Teamspeak 3.

Now I can't join in any server anymore although my friends have no problem > so it must be on my end...

Anyways, it gives me the 'Failed to resolve hostname' error.

Here's the log;

<13:39:53> Trying to connect to server on 5.1.91.209

<13:39:54> Failed to connect to server: could not resolve hostname
<13:39:58> Trying to connect to server on 5.1.91.209
<13:39:59> Failed to connect to server: could not resolve hostname

this happens when I  type in the server name and when I type in the ip.
I already tried the flush DNS method... with no success.

Thanks for everyone who can help!

My build: CPU: i5 4670k w/ 4.1 Ghz oc / Cooling: Corsair h60 + Arctic Mx-4 / Motherboard: Asus Maximus Gene Vii / RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 Cl9 / GPU: Asus Gtx 770 / Case: Corsair 350d / Storage: 2x Kingston HyperX 3K 240gb (480gb total) / PSU: Corsair Rm750 / Display: Asus VX279Q DP variant / Keyboard: Corsair k70 mx red / Mouse: Razer Naga Hex Wraith red / Sound: HyperX Cloud OS: Win7 Pro 64 bit w/ Win 10 upgrade / + Red Led's

can you ping the address? I can reach the webserver so that works.. also do a normal ipconfig/all and give us the output.

It could be that your PC is searching for the server somewhere else than your ISPs DNS e.g. when one of your networkadapter is set to 5.*.*.* since it's a class A network and thus has a small network-prefix.

also list content of your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file

Thanks for the quick reply!

Unfortunately I can understand almost nothing what you are saying ^^

Would you kindly repeat what I have to do, so that a noob like me can understand it?
