Apple employees are testing a voicemail service which uses Siri to answer your calls and transcribe voicemail messages. Apple's iCloud service will then send you the text of the transcribed voicemail - meaning that you'll never need to listen to your voicemails again

 

 

Someones calls you, SIRI answers the call, It can tell where you are based on gps, what you are doing based on calendar and other data so as to inform why you cantpick the call..the voicemail is send to Apple server .They transcribes it and you recive voicmail as mssage..I think in future applesends all calls to server and transcribes them and send it as message. This can be used for for future refference..All the data in server belongs to Apple they can sell to anyone

Once again apple isn't the first company to do this. I don't like transcribed voicemails as people with accents who say wursh instead of wash screw it up.

Apple is never first they take good ideas and perfect them and sell them as their own. A lazy stupid company but very smart at brainwashing the customer

A lazy stupid company?  I see the effort going into critically analyzing corporate position and market place rule is at it's apex.  The perspicuity of our current intellect is clearly present when discussing apple today.

 

Telstra already do this, they don't do it very well but well enough for it to work if you want the service.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if apple improve it, they have more resources and better programers than Telstra. 

 

Also it reminds me of this:

Anyone can improve an already good idea. They only pick things they know they will make money on change some minor part put it in aluminum and a Apple logo and it is revolutionary and new!

There is a lot more to it than that. A hell of a lot more.  You describe the products as little more than re-brands or imitations with tweak.    Not just anyone can improve a product.  In fact making a product that is worth the asking price is not easily done, look at nvidia and amd right now.  market share versus average cost of the product.  People pay for better, they pay for a sturdier product, better service, for a product that performs overall in a better way for their particular needs.   This applies to all companies not just apple, or GPU's or software or phones or what ever.

The fact that there is only on company like Apple sorta forces people to buy their stuff if they like one feature about them. Look up how much an Iphone costs to make and how much they are selling it for. Then look up how much the flagship LG smart phones are to make and how much they are selling them for

 

That old chestnut hey?  how much anything costs to make is not a reflection of the total value.  The industry is a little more complicated than that.

 

If LG could sell a phone at he same profit margin as apple they would,  but they can't, they can't for many different reasons.  The market is what dictates the sale price of a product.  Apple charge more and have 39.9% profit margin because they can, because people know what they are getting and are happy to pay for it.  LG can't say the same.   LG are not just competing with apple, they are competing with every other cheaper Android phone on the market as well, iphone is really only competing with a handful of top tier products, because anyone willing to shell out for an iphone is not looking at sub $400 phones from any manufacturer.

They charge the same, but nobody is buying them, they have actually just done a price drop because of disappointing sales.

 

Apple can sell them at that price and never drop the price until the new model launches

Someones calls you, SIRI answers the call, It can tell where you are based on gps, what you are doing based on calendar and other data so as to inform why you cantpick the call..the voicemail is send to Apple server .They transcribes it and you recive voicmail as mssage..I think in future applesends all calls to server and transcribes them and send it as message. This can be used for for future refference..All the data in server belongs to Apple they can sell to anyone

Ah you mean that lazy stupid company who is completely responsible for how mobile phones are today. Didn't understand? Let me explain:

 

  • Google was using touchpad and keyboard for android prior to the iPhone's launch.
  • Multitouch on Phones were a thing only after Apple unveiled it with the original iPhone
  • Beautiful phones made of premium material only became a priority among other companies after Apple
  • High resolution display in the iphone 4 is what sparked the resolution race among phone manufacturers
  • After Siri came Google Now, Cortana, S Voice and countless other third party assistants
  • Android auto? Inspired from Apple CarPlay
  • Fingerprint sensor that actually work came after the iphone 5S debut
  • Wireless payment was only a thing after Apple adopted it while google never cared to fix their Google Wallet and later for some reason renamed as Android Pay(?)

 

^^ That's just iPhones. There are plenty of other innovations done in Mac and iPad I left out

Yes but that's only the voicemail. It currently isn't possible to voice recognize accurately on the device itself. What I was talking about is location, meeting schedules etc

Did you mean to quote me then tell me I was way off about the price of Samsung phones?  Because I never mentioned the end price of samsung phones (or any phone for that matter), I did however say that the market dictates the what a manufacturer can charge for a phone and thus the profit they can make from it.  I also said LG can;t make the same profit of their products because the market won't allow it.

And yet people literally line up for days to buy apple products at launch. I've never seen a single person line up to buy any android/windows phone. They have to be doing something right.
