I think your base resolution needs to be 4K for netflix to stream it at 4K.  There might be an option for it on the web based Netflix, you could also DSR your monitor to 4K, you can only VSR to 1800p with a 1440p panel in CCC

What I mean is can I watch 4k netflix on a 1440p monitor or will it just drop down to 1080p?

The upscale from 1080p is barely noticeable unless you're a foot away from the screen.

Also make sure your settings are on High, not Auto

Last time I checked, 'High' was ghosted out for me at home, and I don't think my videos look much better than about 720p if I had to guess. I've got a generally reliable 15 Mb/s downstream connection. That should be up to 6.5 GB/hr, right?

(602 * [15/8])/1024?
