Nearly One Billion Android Phones Can Be Hacked With One SMS

A huge security bug has been found in the Android operating system that drives nearly one billion mobile devices today. The attack can be done via SMS messages and doesn't require the user to do anything to be in danger.

Attackers only need your mobile number, using which they can remotely execute code via a specially crafted media file delivered via MMS. A fully weaponized successful attack could even delete the message before you see it.

I knew I should have sticked to iPhone. Having people reset my phone all day was fine.

Hah! I anticipated this and went with Vodafone so only half the time I can receive MMS'

I have always wanted a Windows phone. I got a Moto G though. Why would anyone give out their phone number I will never know.
