Lenovo Y50-70 Nvidia driver problems

Tadas

Hello!

So I bought Lenovo Y50-70 1080p (GTX960m) and it does not install drivers, saying that it does not detect hardware and the drivers arent compatible with windows, although i doublechecked windows version and I know that my pc has this specific graphics unit. What should I do? I downloaded them straight from lenovo web, I do not know where I can do it elsewhere.

Uninstall both the intel and nvidia driver from control panel.

Then use DDU to clean both the intel and nvidia driver:

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

download latest intel graphics driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25143/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit

download the latest nvidia graphics driver http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-353-49-hotfix-driver-download.html

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

I downloaded the drivers but it does not show me display settings, just 3d settings branch, what could be the problem?

That is normal on all Nvidia Optimus Enabled Laptop (Intel Graphics Enabled).

Certain stuff like adaptive vsync, dsr, nvidia video enhancement feature are not present. You also cannot overclock the LCD monitor as you have to rely on Intel Graphics Control Panel which has totally broken custom resolution.

most ivy bridge and all haswell nvidia optimus enabled laptop has muxless hybrid graphics which means the monitor is directly wired to the intel graphics so there is no way to disable Nvidia Optimus (Intel Graphics) to unlock all the nvidia features.
