[Unofficial] Galax (Galaxy / KFA2) HOF Owner's Club

Overkilled

Here's mine needing a brace to help with the sag. This HoF is heavy af. Still waiting for a decently priced 21:9 monitor with sync tech. And custom extension at this point. I might switch to H110i GT and drop Noctua though.

are you using cable combs them cables look so sexy!

Right now I got a full PSU cable mod but it's plain white. I'm going back to my original cables and use extensions instead. Gonna get some pale gray, light aqua blue and white cables. It'll look like the 980 hog color.

P.s I'll add the dig when I get back from work as I can't edit it while on mobile.

Why would you swap full sleeved cables for extensions?

  • 2 weeks later...

At the moment, I own a pair of 980 HOFs and a pair of 980 Ti HOFs.  I started a build early in the year that got put on hold due to work load.  When I restarted the build, the 980 Ti HOFs were out, so I up-graded.

post-166106-0-03011100-1441125056_thumb.

I have a CAD model for the 980 HOF - I needed it for planning my build.  I can add in detailed measurements later.  I will be making a model for the 980 Ti HOF as well.

post-166106-0-73025500-1441125122_thumb.

I found a solution for sag, but it isn't necessarily for the faint of heart.  I haven't done a rendering for the details of the support bracket yet, but let's just say I'm not counting on the mobo for the support.  The distal end supports will include integral cable management trays to route the power cables up and over the back of the cards.

Yeah they sag like a mofo. I'd seriously look something different (easiest would be to find a case that you can lay on its back) to solve the sagging issue. Since I only got one 980Ti, I opted in to use an acrylic support bracket for liek $10.

Like in earlier posts and other posts it just seems a bit arrogant even though Galax cards arent the best. May just be me sorry if it offended anyone

This is just a forum thing, to have a owners threads of hardware. Galax cards are kind of niche since they have a white PCB.

it holds the record for the best 980 ti sli set up in the world and is second out of in the world out of all cards. There is only one titan X setup in existence better than the HoF LN2 SLI setup

Yes, also the high-end GPUs are also good going toe-to-toe with EVGA Kingpin but for less money.
