Youtube throttle my broadband speed when playing a video.

Hi I have 60 Mbps broadband speed but when i play YouTube video it some times does not have any sound and when a video is playing it sometimes freezes at any point of a video and same thing happens when skip a bit of a video but why does it seem that youtube is  throttle my broadband speed when playing a video.

This sounds like a similar thing with twitch, even if the video is fully loaded it will lag making it seem like a problem with the computer rather than internet speed

YouTube is not sucking; your ISPs are. Take a look at this and replace France Telecom with your ISPs name.

Peering is the biggest battle happening right now between CDNs/Tier 1 providers and ISPs.

As long as YouTube refuses to pay for the [massive] network usage it's generating, ISPs will keep throttling.

 

And no, I'll not get into the net neutrality debate, haha !

 

EDIT : Even though I work for an ISP, I find it outrageous that the customers have to pay the price of business decisions !
