PSU ranking and tiers

Any chance you (or anyone else for that matter) could make note of the type of cables given, since this is actually imho one of the currently important criteria for new builds.

 

Examples:

all black braided

all black non-braided

specific color braided

multicolored

Odds and ends colored terminals

From what I could observe on them, the old bronze revision was truly terrible but I doubt the newer one is worse than the TT SMART and CM elite - prolly same level - they work and are silver certified.

Maybe @STRMfrmXMN can cover this cause since I don't have a windowed case I've never really cared about PSU cables

Usually you can tell from a picture..... I wouldn't think it would save anybody time in the long run as you can buy custom cables to fit your build anyways.

You can get custom cables that look a lot better yo. EVGAs G2 and up series are the only ones with braided cables AFAIK as well as Seasonic and Bitfenix stuff. It's not common though.

Well even those two things would be nice to know. Even if its not common, if two psu's are smilar price and you don't plan on buying custom cables (which most don't) its nice to know if the cables are braided or at least all one color because multicolored psu's are window killers.

I think that, in the end, it's a lot easier for somebody to Google it if they're that interested.

Maybe, but I have to say, I've spent quite a bit of time looking at individual psu's for random builds and it's pretty infuriating to try to track down all the random psu's from pcpartpicker and find out what series have what cables.

 

Either way I'm sure there are bigger priorities, I just wish someone (basically pc partpicker haha) would include that data.

Did you get a chance to look at the Silver Raider? I still believe it's not worse than a TT Smart PSU - you'd have to try to be that bad.

from what I remember the Rosewill arc series isn't that great. Antec and Seasonic both have better options in the price range.

It's not very good. Only oh so slightly better then a Corsair CX, the EVGA B2 will mop the floor with it.
