Cannot upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview through Windows Update.

Kiyuubi

As title says, I cannot upgrade to it.  I am in the Insider Program, and I installed the "Windows 10 Insider Preview", but nothing pops up in my Windows update.  I don't get any errors, nothing.  I looked around and could not find anything relating to it.  Does anyone have any idea?

Are you in the "Fast" portion of the program?

Under Windows Update>Advanced Options then its under the bottom half.

Takes about to day to recognize your change in that portion.

10166 just released too.

Why would you want to install a unfinished beta build of an OS that may not work when the final build is releasing in a few weeks? :P

Anyways, try using the ISO from here

Just download the latest ISO and there's an option to keep all your files, apps and settings.

Download the ISO and follow the guide in my description

That is not what I am asking.  I am very aware that you can upgrade by using the .iso, but I wish to do this through Windows Update.

I am not on Windows 10 yet, I am trying to do so from Windows 7.

I am tired of waiting.  I have it on a work computer, and it works fine, so now I want it on my home computer.  Same thing about the .iso I said above.

I believe since its not full OS yet, you can't just upgrade it within another version of Windows. You must do fresh install for it.
