How is Zotac as a GPU brand?

FineVisionz

Hello,

I am looking in getting either a 970, 980, or 980 Ti and I was wondering how is Zotac as a GPU brand.  I haven't really heard much of them.

Their coolers are pretty nice from what I've seen. don't know too much about warranty or support

If you follow these 3 tips you should have a blast.

i'm rather proud of this for some reason. http://imgur.com/6ttS5XZ

Mediocre. They are generally cheaper, but there is a reason for that. They are ok at most things, but not really the best at any specific thing. I wouldn't recommend them unless you really need to save a little money.

I personally don't like them. They seem to scream bad quality with good looks. You know?

Haven't held any though, wish they would kinda up their quality and move away from flashy things. Keep it simple kinda like their black cooler except it has 3 fans.

2-4 years ago i wouldn't recommend them. But today they put out some really good stuff, the 980Ti AMP Extreme for example place itself right next to Gigabytes G1 and MSI Gaming series cards. Out of the box, no overclock it even beats them according to Guru3D's tests.

People don't tend to talk about them as much compared to other brands (EVGA, ASUS, Gigabyte), but they're still reliable from what I've heard. Never owned one of their cards though.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

People i know that have their cards dont complain but no idea about cutomer support. Maybe thats a good thing.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

They are always priced well, and not sure about all their range, but the 980Ti AMP! edition comes with 5 years warranty if that is something you care about, they look really nice too imo.

Lets put it this way, they are a good company but their rivals are excellent. Personally ive not had problems with them, only a bit of coil whine but that isnt their fault, their colour scheme isnt really but taste but its not bad and their coolers are rather good.

I had a friend that had a 560ti from them, it died on them, and it was under warranty. Once he sent the card back, he waited almost a month, called them, and they said something alone the lines of "Yeah, we have it. We will send you a new one when we get around to it."

that FX CPU of yours will greatly limit the performance of any of those cards in many games...just saying.
