Affordable upgrades?

Recommended Posts

Whats up guys!

I wanted to ask you guys for some advice (again  :) )

If I wanted to upgrade my system, which basically is composed of:

- GTX 970 Strix OC 4GB VRAM

- 4790k 4Ghz

- 16 GB of 1600mhz Kingston Hyper X DDR3

- MSI Z97 Gaming 3

And I my budget would be around 660 USD. What would you guys advice me to upgrade?

Or would you guys say, just save up some more and upgrade the entire system.

Thanks for responding, you guys are awesome!

yes!! that is a very good upgrade. besides the i7 not really needed for gaming perhaps a 4690k would be better

Other than not knowing what that i7 will be used for, Id have to say it looks like a solid upgrade...

But if you dont need the i7 and want to save money, get a 4690k.

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Kingston 8GB // GTX 770 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Razer Blade 14 // iPhone 8 (64GB) // Canon 5D Mark II

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

Is $660 the budget for the upgrade? If so, a nice liquid cooler and a GTX 980 or a decent cooler (Hyper 212 EVO) and a GTX 980 Ti would be your best bet. Nice system, btw.

INTEL CORE i7 4820K | COOLER MASTER HYPER 212 EVO | GIAGBYTE X79-UP4 | CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT 8GB | NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1070 | SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB | WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE 1TB | CORSAIR CRYSTAL SERIES 570X | EVGA BQ 650W
