Yeah but the X34 is 75hz max? That's a no go for me.

 

I've got the chance to play with three Acer XB270HU in surround and it's not that impressive either, people are overhyping ultrawide/surround

I rather have one screen and to play at +100FPS then three screens at 40-50FPS.

 

Also Ultra wide is another experience and it is not the same as Eyefinity or Surround, it gives a better experience in games.

What pc setup? If I had to choose I would go with the 3440x1440p 34 inch Ultra wide IPS Curved Gsync 75hz. I've always wanted to try one.

Lmao, how could a ultrawide give better experience then eyefinity/surround? 

Right now I'm sitting here with 3 Acer XB270HU's at 7680x1440 144hz IPS G-Sync before I have to send them back.

 

Goodluck with black bars in games 90% of the time, eyefinity/surround is way more supported then 21:9 ratio as it has been a thing for over 10 years.

Well yeah, but eyefinity is way more immersive. Ultrawide just seems useless to me, just like 16:10, if you want to get immersed in games, atleast do it good or get a VR headset.

It would not be that immersive with the fish eye effect making the image look bad on the monitors.

Gaming on a 3440x1440 display is a truly majestic experience.

How does it work for regular 1080 stuff though? And will most games FOV and ui shift so it fits with your monitor?

Yeah, the games I have seen change UI so it works with the monitor. If you want to use it as a 1080p monitor then you can just use 16.9 ratio on the monitor.

It would create two black bars on the sides of the screen so it fits 16.9 ratio on the monitor.

I'm currently in the same category of choice so I'm glad someone created this, thanks.

 

I understand 16:9 and 4k and the more mainstream options but I prefer the look and feel of the 21:9 (I have dual 4:3 for work, same thing) and to have it with GSync seems like the bee's knee's. I'm also hoping that if enough people support 21:9 then it will become recognized as something to support and not just a niche crowd with known users who create patches.

 

My vote now is X34 but I'm still on the fence.
