I really hope we can turn off this search bar.

I won't lie, it's my favorite feature. Never have to go to the start menu to search. A whole 2 seconds saved. It's game changing.

same here, been using it for a while now, though im on the slow release and so still running 10130.

no idea how to check the versioN (kill me if you want)

its written in white text on the desktop in the bottom  right hand corner (don't worry its fair to trivial to kill over :P )

You can if you right click on the search bar, then click on search and click on hidden.
