Well those two are good too, but yikes! Silver/Gold (and Crystal) are among the best titles! Put those Pokemon games down and play Silver/Gold. Preferably the original. :)

I liked my HeartGold too, but Crystal (the one I played most recently in Gen 2) still holds up really well.

Waiting for my wireless enhanced Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow versions. Come at me peasants. /s

 

Btw, @armswieldthehero I'm the one that mostly plays Showdown here, but I haven't been able to play at all these last 6 months due to my uni entrance exams. Will pick it up back in summer aswell as playing a bit VGC then.

I've been playing Blue on my Game Boy Color like it's 1999 all over again. Except I'm abusing glitches for my own benefit this time.

 

I still remember how to do the Mew glitch, even after not doing it since 2008 :D

The originals were Iwata's work. Without him, they wouldn't have been what we know them as today.

the Safari zone has become a kinda annoying place, since gen 3 or so.

Gen 1 (or the Kanto safari zone in gen 2, 3 or 4) is still the best safari zone

Still have a big tub of Pokémon figures sitting here. Still don't really know where to display them all D: maybe I should empty one of my shelves and set them up all on there.

I liked my HeartGold too, but Crystal (the one I played most recently in Gen 2) still holds up really well.

Fun fact: the Japanese crystal version had a crystal printed into the solder mask on the pcb. The us version did not. (at least for the one of each region that I owned.)

I saw someone on YouTube who said the games are leaked already and will be Pokémon Sun and Moon version. Also saw some rumor about realistic Pokémon, I dunno.
