pretty surprised when i heard it's still alive recently. Genuinely thought pokemon GO(to the polls) was a fad that died out in 2016/early 2017.

I was feeling nostalgic around the time Pokemon Go was released. I hadn't seen a Pokemon game or watched the TV show since middle school. My younger brother had a DMG (the original Game Boy) but I never really wanted to play it, though I used to like watching him play. So last year I decided to pick up 2 DMG's on Craigslist with Pokemon Red/Blue so I could trade Pokemon and collect all 151 without a gameshark. I later bought a GBC (Game Boy Color) with the cable link adapter and Pokemon Crystal/Silver/Gold which I had never played as a kid. I beat them all, now I picked up Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages since I absolutely loved Legend of Zelda on the NES.

Sometimes I want to post judgemental comments on how other people play Pokemon, but than I remember I played a good part of Pokemon Red for the first time, not knowing about Pokeballs and that you could have more than 1 Pokemon in your party (the S.S. Anne is quite difficult, with only a Charizard.. And yes at that point it was a Charizard because I only used that Pokemon).

But I'm just going to blame this on the fact that I was like 6 years old and didn't speak English.

@Minibois hah, haven't heard of that one but it took me like two weeks to understand the Miltank thing so... and yeah being around 8-9 does not help 

 

@Daring I've seen English, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese ones. There are probably also French and Spanish but that's probably it.

Nah.

We've never had a Dutch translation of Pokemon games, Dutch translations of many games are anyways.

Most Nintendo games are released in five languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. Some shovelware is Dutch though, but we didn't see Dutch translations of big Nintendo series until the 3DS.
