My Pokemon game collection in order of obtaining:

 

Emerald

Diamond

Silver

Fire Red

White

Alpha Sapphire

 

So far Emerald is my favorite. I'm not even convinced I like Alpha Sapphire more than it because it felt like it didn't meet its potential although meeting Pokemon Emerald is a very tall order IMO. They didn't even let me use the OST like it let you in HGSS.

 

What does sun and moon bring to the table in terms of post-game activity? Does anyone know yet? If they add some kind of battle frontier I might be on board.

I might get Sun and Moon on discount in a month or whatever. Nothing is super compelling about the game for me now, it's more Pokémon sure.. But I can also just replay the other games.

Not post game yet myself.  So far there is the Battle Royal site early on in the game, not really gyms but trails and kahunas (kind of like gym leaders, but only four), and Z Moves.  Seems to be more store line this time as well.  Seriously, head of Aether is messed up in blipping head.

Blue, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Platinum (one of my top favs), SoulSilver, Black 2, Y, X, OmegaRuby, and now Sun.  Also at one point had both the old Pokemon Stadium games too.

I have Leafgreen, Emerald, Platinum, Diamond, Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia, Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs (went missing somewhere ), Heartgold, White, Alpha Sapphire, Sun

Been wanting to get all the others but $$ is always an issue  also I have had 2 platinums and 2 whites since I seem to had lost them at some point....

Got back into the game myself after taking a break 6 gen (My idiot brother took my 3DS along with my White 2 when I was sleeping and got it stolen from him) ... Liking the new changes so far. Not super far into the game with my team being in the 20's-30 range atm

I forgot to add Pokemon X D Gale of Darkness. That game had a pretty sweet story and it didn't even need gyms. They should totally do something like that again and it should be much better with all the technology since the GameCube which was a system I really loved. Nowadays without the old hardware limitations I bet they could remake that game, but with actual wilderness to explore between all the facilities along with the option for your scooter for fast travel like the original. Ontop of that I bet they could add more of a gym-league into the mix, but I would prefer if it was 100% detached from the actual story so it remains similar to the original.

 

As the dude in Agate Village says though "Just a pipe dream".

I don't think they needed the Z-move or weird fusion dance gimmicks to sell the game. I think it would have been better if they left that stuff out.

Yeah, I hardly used the Z-Moves.  They could kept to the mega evolutions.

Was just listening to some of the OST for the latest games and I noticed they didn't remix the frontier brain theme for Anabel.

Feels so nice hearing that GBA soundfront again

 

I think they need to do more of what they did with RBY and just copy-paste more of them onto the new machines and add wifi capability. Would never need to emulate my old games ever again where I can't even battle/trade with others

Maybe. And I had a mind-blown moment last night. I actually got a Pokemon GO ad on YouTube! I thought it was dead? 

 

And my aunt gave us a Gameboy years ago with some Pokemon game. Never got to play it, as my parents made us throw it away, since they thought Pokemon was bad? IDK why though.

Yes it dead and buried as far as I am concerned I find it funny a lot of my friends got into it last year and tried having me play it and I always just laugh of it.

 

NOBODY even has it on their phones by now from them

 

And oh yes the original Pokémon games on gameboy were true gold back in the day... the only thing that annoyed the hell out of me was not being able to go through grass without always getting into savage pokemon fight

My friends all laugh at Pokemon Go and sneak their 3DS into school and they get busted 10 times a year.
