How was your pc building experience?

Cable management, now I bet your thinking that I'm crazy. In all honesty for my situation it's practically irrelevant, my case doesn't have a side panel window. Instead it's a mesh with a 230mm fan feeding air to the GPU along with three little meshed areas to provide some room for the hot air to escape out of.

The second part is installing software, boring and I usually end up doing other activities when I know it will take a long time.

Last, I'm not a fan of installing the CPU because I always feel like I'm going to break the motherboard pins. So far I've been 100% successful with not breaking the pins and my CPU's has been fully functional.

CPU Cooler,... some are really annoying.

I actually thought about wires, but that is fun to me for whatever reason. I like making the box look good. But that damn CPU coolers that need screwing all over the place, weight 10 pounds and never seem to fit. Don't get me started on forgetting the lube and having to redo all that after it was done ;-)

The lube? I don't think it advised to put your penis in a cpu cooler, I've never seen that in a build log

Installing the CPU cooler was quite tedious, but it was nothing compared to how difficult plugging in the 24-pin connector was. Took me nearly an hour to get it to click.

Cable management. It's never good enough. Probably it wont be visually messy on front, but you know the mess is somewhere else and cannot be solved... so you just put it aside and forget it's there until the next rearrangement/cleanup/upgrade.

btw, not a perfection guy but opening the backdoor in my case drains my geeky spirit.

For me the least favorite part is installing all of the software.

So many restarts and so time consuming.

I had plugging in front panel connectors. Especially in small cases

Mine has to be the extreme mess I create. My whole bedroom gets covered with boxes, components and cables. Even if I try to make it organised, it doesn't.

I'm curious what is everyone's favorite and least favorite thing about building computers? I always loved that first boot knowing you got it too work. My least favorite is that few seconds before you boot I get this tense moment of "what if it doesn't boot?!"
