How to fix or reduce micro stuttering in every game

Edit: This is proven to work and you should enable these commands by default even if you might not have any problems at the moment.

This helped me to get rid of micro stuttering in GTA 5 on Windows 10 so I thought I should share it.

1. Run cmd as administrator

2. Type (bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes)

3. Profit?

I don't know if many people knew about this but hopefully it helps you guys out.

I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps on the 960, stutter is one of the only drawbacks for it otherwise it plays really well (even thou I'm switching to 980 this week).  seems like others have had some luck with it.  at least the dynamic tick

EDIT: helped a ton on my gtx 960! thanks man  I have settings on high except textures and reflections are very high (no reflection aa). ext shadowson and ext distance scaling at 30%.  gpu oc'd to 1525mhz core 8000mhz mem

Tested with i5 4570 and GTX 970.

I don't really know how to identify micro-stuttering, but it feels smoother

Thanks :D

Now... What this exactly do?

I cant even see the video since I'm at work, but I also do have Titan X.

Can someone please list out the things in text so that I can take a sneak peak before I have to wait hours to get back home?

Is this only on Windows 10 where you're getting stuttering in GTA V? Because it's butter smooth for me on Windows 7 with a GTX 970 and a Xeon E3-1231v3.

All it is:

Run CMD Prompt as Administrator

Type in two commands and that's it!

I am running Windows 8.1.  Since I have upgraded to the 980 Ti setup, I have been encountering a lot of microstutters within the game.  Did not have this problem with my old 980 SLI setup.  I don't know why it works but it removed 95% of the stuttering.  The in game menu when you access the map still stutters horribly.  At least during game play, I noticed a significant improvement.

1. Thanks for the sneak peak.

2. Thats quite odd. Usually SLi is the culprit of most micro stutters. Had a SLi setup myself before (2 systems 680 and 780Ti), and they always had microstutter (sometimes hard to notice but definitely there). When it gets severe in games, I had to disable SLi and use single card only to avoid issues.

I think this also works on Windows 8. Disabledynamictick was the command which fixed the stuttering for me. It is only available in Windows 8 and 10.
