Post your janky ghetto-tastic setups that work just fine.  Maybe it's because you're in a hurry, maybe it's because you're lazy, maybe it's because that's all you have on hand.  Because the show must go on!

I needed a straight-down shot in OBS while at my parent's house.  A free Android app and two small cans of paint later (my mother was clearing out a storage area) and I was good to go.

paint can document cam

Why didn't you just hold the phone. Or maybe just use one paint can.

Needed both hands for handling stuff being shot by the jank-cam, and the phone would have fallen off the bottom can if it didn't have a second one holding it down.

My Phantom 410 can't have more than two drives installed in the cage when I have a graphics card longer than Chuck Norris' schlong in there, so I had to get creative when mounting my SSDs :P. Yes that's right, they are taped to the underside of my optical drive and on the bottom of the 5.25" cage. Also, do I get +5 overclock points for 3D printed cable combs?

Previous security company used cardboard when they ran out of electrical boxes.  Not sure if electrical code applies to CAT3...

Needed a straight-down shot with a GoPro.  No tripod or stand available.  Used a roll of tape as a counterweight.

Don't have a pic because my mom lives on the other side of the state, but her main desktop (an old Q9650 gaming rig with a GTX 580) was getting slow. So I bought her an SSD and the guy at the store said it came with the mounting bracket, it didn't. So I gutted a broken 5.25 DVD drive, cut the end and top of the drive case off, and drilled holes in the bottom. I secured the SSD with 2 screws in the bottom of the drive case and slid it into the bottom DVD drive bay. worked like a charm

CPU was getting too hot, needed better cooling for the case. Picked up a fan at radio crap with a molex connector and had to drill out more of the rear of the case to mount it.

Needed a graphics card so a friend sent me his old 760 SC, was more powerful than the entire computer.

Needed somewhere to put the power cables, oh look some empty 3.5 inch drive bays.

Stacking heatsinks. Your point is now invalid.

Does it actually improve the cooling?

It looks like the lower two heat sinks don't get much airflow but add thermal resistance to the top (main) cooler.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

It actually worked better than the stock cooler by itself on my 4790 xD I think it reached a max of 75-80 compared to 90~ :D

Nice, but there is still a bit room for improvement ;)

Mine's served me well, I've been able to OC a non OC'able CPU from 3.9 to 4.1GHZ with it.

Haha, I really wanted one, just had a bad retailer I guess... soulda gotten one before they stopped being sold.

On an AMD system? You've got balls mate.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
