Yes. Along with the Intel iGPU. Top one is my crappy 7950 3GB, bottom one is a GTX 480 Engineering Sample (1.5GB, of course).

wait, why is your 7950 crappy? I would kill for a gpu half as powerful as that.

Well... maybe it's bc I made them from the stock passive heatsink of the GPU :P

This is the GPU untouched:

what GPU is that? it kinda looks like my old radeon 9200.

Runs stupid hot and loud. And the stock 900MHz clock speed is just complete shit.

That RAM stick looks lonely...

It was the cheapest and the nicest. And since I want to get 16GB later on, it made sense to go with it. But, I have a lot of other things I need to get first. http://bit.ly/AthenaUpgrades

Thats nothing secial :D my PC sits here without side ant top panels ;) fuck daaa DUST!

you are't having any driver issues? I thought running two different brands the drivers would interfear with each other

Having both drivers installed isnt a problem at all in most cases

Nope. All three of them behave perfectly fine.

You cant run like games ion both cards simulatniously though, can you?

I don't believe it is possible to use both cards in gaming simultaneously. They have to be able to work together, which is why we have things like SLI and Crossfire. They coordinate that among other things.

I don't know if you can use them independently at the same time, like using the NVidia card for cuda while rendering in opencl or opengl on the 7950. I always thought that nvidia disabled their cards if the drivers detected an amd card in the system.

My mini-OCD drives me nuts with the cables around my desk. And as for dust, I don't care really. :P

Nvidia cards only get disabled with an AMD card for PhysX.

I am the administrator for 10 computers in a charity's building and due to a very limited IT Budget I've had to ghetto a few things.

One of the most ghetto things were that a PC Wouldn't boot, no idea why it was locked away in the store room, turned out the plank who installed the HDD (A used one at that) had snapped the plastic bit off the SATA Connector on the HDD Itself so what did I do?

I cut a SATA Cable and soldered the cable straight onto the HDD xD Works like a champ, not one issue since its installation over 4 months ago.

Had to use a zip-tie on the CPU power cable so it doesn't touch the RAM. With the 140mm fan blocking the passthrough above the motherboard I can't route it behind the motherboard tray.

In the winter I put my laptop outside my window because it overheats so much that it turns off, then I run a hdmi cable to my tv and it will work flawlessly.

plus I run a wireless keyboard and mouse to play.

I know your feeling...

My setup before I built my PC consisted of one of the worst laptops ive ever seen/used.

HP DV6-6C35DX (know that by heart after searching enough forums of pissed of owners) overheated A LOT

Damn that fan, one hell of a screechier. 65C idle Yay!

2ew2rlg.png

That's one way to end a windows installation.

Since I have manged to install a new copy of Windows 7.

Whenever I boot it up I am hit with a critical battery error telling me the capacity of the battery is 15% of what it should be, and a cooling fan error. Great!

Also that battery heats up REALLY fast. Its probably not safe and will eventually explode into a ball of fire.

And that's why I don't use it anymore!!!
