Is there anything that you can plug into a ethernet port that is a wifi antenna?

 

So my dad has a new dvd player that we can use the internet on (Netflix) but it can only be hooked up by ethernet but we dont have a line running there so is there anything that will plug into the ethernet port that can receive wifi?

 

I figured it would but idk why it would be called.

Yes. After looking, the Wnce2001 (recommended by Chromeboy) it offers b/g/n speeds, while the one I found offers a/g speeds. G is fast enough, but N is much faster.

i know you want wireless but powerline might be faster...

Oh waow, i remember using one of these for my Xbox ! These were awesome, but it might be a tad too slow for Netflix (especially in HD). This might be a better choice since it uses 802.11N (I never used it though, so I can't guarantee the quality)

There are a lot of wireless bridges around ,but another alternative is just buy a wireless router i picked up a refurbished linksys one for around £25 and the signal works around the whole house (even through brick walls).
