Here we go!

I finally have the cash together to build a new beast.  Mainly for gaming but will play around with video editing and video streaming from time to time when the opportunity arises.  Ill be using Windows 8 Pro with my existing SSD (OCZ Vertex 3 MAX IOPS) and storage HDD (WD RE4 2TB).  Probably will add more drives later on as i need them.  I originally wanted the Avexir red Mpower RAM, but they simply couldnt figure out how to sell it to me?!  Their RAM doesnt appear in stores and would have matched my system perfectly, but oh well.. Corsair will do!  Ill keep the Blu-ray burner i have in my current system.  My aim is to keep things cool, regardless of noise.  Summer is coming in 6 months and the PC room wont handle the heat very well..lol.  Im thinking 2x 780's will be beastly enough for probably the next 5 years or so.  DirectX 12 wont be any time soon, and when shadowplay comes (soon?) ill be on the right track there too.  The lack of OpenCL (vs a Titan) isnt anything i really care about.  Im going push pull on the cpu cooler rad at the front of the case - as an intake.

Fingers crossed i can reach 4.6Ghz overclocked on the CPU S:

Ill be posting pics at the end of the week when ill have it all put together.

I believe you can get other colors are well from there. They do ship to Australia it seems, not sure how the rates are.

Aye, however theres no 2x8 red mpower sticks there.. i cant seem to find them anywhere... ebay had some 2x4 and 4x4 gb sticks but i want to expand later possibly, so i gave up on avexir.

Bloody crying shame, that is such gorgeous ram. I doubt you would need to go beyond 4x4GB. But it is cutting it close.

Well I'm an MMO player, mostly Star wars the old republic, so the name kinda stuck with me from that perspective. I do play fps and RPGs to.. And I don't plan to require any more hardware for next gen games like witcher3 or dragon age inquisition, bf4, etc.

Looks great, do you have money pouring out of your ears?

Yes and now its all gone...LOL.

Shouldn't you put the RAMs in an alternating slot for it to be in dual channel mode?

BTW build looks nice and clean  :D

Good enough.

That looks really nice and clean, especially for such a small build. Noctua fans really don't match the rest of the build and like mmracho said, you should probably move the second RAM stick into the third slot for dual channel though. Other than that I like how, even though it's a red and black colour scheme, the reds are more subtle than most (usually due to ROG components) makes it look more mature and elegant.

Thanks! I originally wanted Avexir ram which would have suited it beautifully but they have so many issues on their website it was impossible to get the right one I wanted. As for for noctua fans, yes they look a little off but they work great.. Maybe I'll replace them with the black version when they decide to release em.

Just played SWTOR last night on 1440p on the new monitor and it's as smooth as silk.. Couldn't be happier. Tried the nvidia face demo and it's butter smooth too. Heaven gets 55 fps on ultra everything maxed (with vsync), higher without vsync, but has tearing. Witcher 2, Bf3, far cry3, crysis3 and look amazing at 60fps (with vsync).

Very happy with this system and can't wait for a new resource hogging game to be released.

May I ask why is the memory on single channel? Is there any reason you don't want to run the RAM on dual channel?

What's with the TV Tuner?

Its a TV tuner.. It tunes in to dvb-t channels. This is how we get TV in Australia. I use mediaportal.

I love the 220's CPU block. That with red tubing would really go with your red and black colour scheme.

Great build mate, nice clean cabling and I actually don't mind the colour of the Noctua fans in that build. Still can't wait for all black fans but great work.
