I think it's time for new headphones. $150 budget

Minzo

Hello, so my old QPAD QH-90 is starting to get dirty. Paint chips stick to my ears and I'm generally tired of the short wire.

$150 is the very top I can go, but since I live in Sweden the prices will probably be higher here.

I game a lot, do not listen to a lot of music so these headphones should be good for gaming.

I'd like them to be wireless but for $150 I don't expect much.

What are your thoughts? Am I missing something?

HyperX clouds if you can deal with a cable

There are two versions, which one do you recommend?

They look a lot like my current headphones and I'd like something... new and fresh.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro

They have a great sound reproduction and should fit in your budget quite well.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

Hmm, what's the difference really?

One has a microphone, the other one doesn't.

AudioTechnica ATH M50x? A lot of youtubers swear by them. No Mic (Would need to add $40 for Antlion ModMic)

If you want wireless you can take the Corsair Gaming H2100. Its one of the better wireless headsets and costs 849kr at webhallen ;)

Or you can take the clearly superior in all other ways Hyperx Cloud and the difference between it and the Qpad QH-90 is that it has a 300cm cable.

878KR according to Prisjakt. Are they worth it?

What's the difference between HyperX Cloud 1 and 2?

What If I could buy the Razer Tiamat for around $130, is it worth it?

NO NO NO NO!

The Razer Tiamat use true 7.1 surround sound but to the cost of audio quality.

And Razer's sound signature is basically every 12 year olds dream, bass bass and more overdone bass.

Could 1 use standard stereo (recommend) meanwhile cloud 2 has virtual 7.1 (not that great 7.1 to be fair but 7.1 none the less).

So what you're saying is: Get your lazy ass to webhallen and buy a pair of cloud (1)?

You should just get a nice pair of headphones and a mod mic, it'd be a lot better. The Clouds are alright, still not that good for what you could get though. If you really wanted a headset get the G4me Zeros.

yes the closest to "true 7.1" you will get in headphones. It doesnt use software it uses several small drivers (which causes the shitty audio).

I'd like the microphone to be attached to the headset because I don't want anything in the way infront of me.

basically yes

Tack då, blir nog ett köp idag då ;)

I think Imma go with the HyperX Cloud!

Hyperx cloud is perfectly sufficient for most users and with a price tag you cant ignore.

Of course a pair of headphones from sennheiser or audio technica together with a modmic will be much better but will also cost more and might introduce extra hassle if you are not experienced with that kind of setup.

Dont recomend

150$ = ~1300kr

Cheapest modmic in sweden costs 599kr

Hyperx Cloud (1) costs 849kr

ATH-M50x costs 1394kr

DT 770 Pro costs ~1400kr (there are 3 different "pro" versions dont know which you meant)

Sennheiser HD558 costs 1290kr

Sennheiser G4ame Zero costs 2099kr

Now do you see the value?
