two monitors aren't working. Help

Hi. I just reinstalled windows and both my monitors are plugged in but only one is being detected. The monitor plugged in is in a DVI port but the pc says it's a VGA. PLAEASE HELP I CANT GO BACK TO ONE MONITOr. i have an evga 760 superclocked

Make sure you have the latest graphics driver installed and that you're using the same ports as before in the same configuration.

E: Or Intel if you use integrated chip.
