huh, i wonder if there is a perceivable difference between 144 & 165. Unlikely but worth testing.

165hz IPS :o
Sounds awesome but it's pretty much impossible to get those fps in any recent games you would need to play in 1080p on 980Ti SLI or play everything on low.

on well optimized maps i get 140-200 fps in BF4 on ultra (2x msaa) 1080p 140%  on my overclocked 970 sli (1400mhz)

They get 165hz by factory overclocking the panel.. I believe the panel is still rated at 144hz.

 

Some good info on this monitor on TFTCentral here and here. They mention a release ETA of 13 Nov 2015 for UK customers and preorders are available at Overclockers UK.

 

Doesn't help us Canadian customers, I don't know of any Canada or US preorders yet.  :(

Do we have an official price point in USD?  I see it's like 620 GBP before VAT on overclockers UK, which is around...800 USD I think?

165 hz? Source?

I know that it is a gaming monitor, but is refresh rates not intervals of 24 (fps of movies)?

120 hz is 5x24, and 144 hz is 6x24 (3x48 for HFR movies).

It's because DP 1.3 isn't out. DP 1.2 doesn't have the bandwidth to support 168.

Damn, this is the monitor I've been waiting for. 1440p, 100% sRGB, 144Hz+, IPS, G-Sync. What more could you want?  Hopefully it comes into stock soon.

Damn, this is the monitor I've been waiting for. 1440p, 100% sRGB, 144Hz+, IPS, G-Sync. What more could you want?  Hopefully it comes into stock soon.

Sorry if this has been answered already but what exactly is an IPS Like Panel?

Looks great though, if I didn't have the XB280HK already I'd consider it very carefully.
