Custom Cursors

Guest

A lot of people think custom cursors are BS. Why would you want to have Basketball Jesus or the Pope, or a picture of a Kitten as a pointer? Case in point:

These are tacky AF, look terrible, and not to mention probably come with a free gigabyte of super fast video downloaders, or shopping helpers, or those epic toolbars that cover half the browser window.

However, there are some nice looking ones, such as this (don't mind them pixels, their not noticeable while in use). It's an easy way to customize your system. Most of the things you do on a computer you use the mouse for, it just makes sense to make it look nice, as the default windows cursor isn't real great.
Ubuntu__quot_Human_quot__Cursors_by_nord
This is what I use. They're based off the cursors from Ubuntu and are among a few other cursor sets that are actually cool.

Here's a few links to some nice ones I found
Ubuntu "Human" Cursors
Pulse Glass
Obsidian Cursor Set
Pulsar
Metro X2

Silver Cursors 3D

Black Steam

Great, assuming you picked one out, here's how to install them.
1. First find the folder where you saved the download .Zip/.Rar, and then extract it
2. Look through the folder until you find a .Inf "Setup Information" file.
3. Simply right-click the .Inf, and click "Install"
4. That's pretty much it, now you just need to select it.

To apply the cursor
1. Find Mouse Properties
2. In the drop down scheme menu find the cursor you just installed, select it
3. Click apply.

That's it. You're done, enjoy your cursors!

The Mac Cursors are the best in my opinion, they're just so clean and nice looking. I'm running them right now, and when you get the loading cursor and you aren't able to click stuff, you can tell if you PC is frozen based on if your spinning beachball of death is frozen or not...

Should be a fairly easy photoshop, just open all the images in gimp/photoshop/paint.net and press control+l, or find levels then reduce green and blue
