@nicklmg what's the difference between 7 day exclusive and new release on vessel ? some videos are uploaded on vessel 1-2 days before it came to youtube but there are some videos that are 9 days old on vessel and still not on youtube, how does it work ?

What videos come out 1-2 days after their release on Vessel? The only videos that are not 7-day exclusive are time sensitive videos like launch day reviews (embargoed products), show coverage, and timely content like contest announcements. It's been tough coordinating the Tech Quickie and Super Fun schedules, so a few of those videos have been going up a few days after the 7-day exclusive window is actually over, but that should be ironed out soon and every video will go up on YouTube 7 days after their release on Vessel (excluding the exceptions I mentioned before).

Both were Titan Xs actually :P one just had the badge covered by tape from Luke's ghetto mod on the distributed computing build log.

@nicklmg - "ASUS Zenfone 2 - Best bang for the buck smartphone" video was released after just 1 day on vessel but there were videos on vessel that weren't released for atleast 9 days, i counted.

As I said, that was an embargo release.

oh, but the reviews for that phone were already out on May 9th, Linus was almost 2 weeks late on the review, can it still be considered embargo video even if the product was with linus before the release but released later on vessel ?

I got to 5 minutes and then i had to stop. I saw the look in his eyes as he mentioned the phase change build and i knew exactly what he was going to do. Only Linus could afford to be this reckless with thousands of dollars in computer hardware. "oh yeah, we'll just take off the retention brackets, what could possibly go wrong?" Because he totally didn't rip the CPU out of it's socket by removing the cooler in the phase change video.

"Intel's Xeon team is watching this in horror right now"

Reporting in.  I know how many of these things get churned out on a daily basis...hack away.

I've used just a waterblock to hold in my 5960X, but that was with actual springs and screws still.  I really wouldn't trust zip ties to provide enough mounting pressure to get good coverage across all the pins.  Most of the pins are for power and ground anyways, so chances are you'll heat up some of the other pins if not all make contact.  Would probably inspect for damage afterwards (the mobo...the chip itself probably won't care if you're making good contact or not).

Only 1x PCI-E 16x but with 2x Titan X?..... You choose the wrong motherboard :) My Dual Socket 2011 with ddr3 has 4x PCI-E 16x 1x PCI-E 8X and 1 PCI-E 4x. But my Serverboard was designed to be a render machine to support 4 videocards. My config 2x E5 2640 V2 2ghz 8c 16t per cpu. 64gb ddr3 ecc 1600mhz. It is my daily workstation :)
