Two AIO Liquid coolers in my M1 Ncase (pictures)

Greasy Bacon

I may be new to this forum, but i'm no stranger to computers. I recently built my new rig in the m1 ncase and I have a weird thing for AIO liquid coolers, and the m1 ncase is one of the only cases to have two 120mm mounts in the spots that can fit AIO coolers (even though it probably wasn't intended to have two) while still being small enough to my liking.

Unfortunately I have not made a build log for this, I do however I have finished pictures and would like to share.

Also pardon the messy room, my room gets bad every time I build a computer and boxes get everyone and my desk has tons of stuff on it all the time.

The Build:

  • Case: M1 Ncase (of course)
  • Mobo: Asus Z97I-PLUS mini-ITX
  • RAM: HyperX FURY 16GB
  • CPU: Intel i7-4790K
  • PSU: Silverstone 600w SFX
  • Storage: Samsung 256 GB SSD (programs & OS)/Western Digital Black 2TB (Files and Projects).
  • GPU: EVGA 980 Hybrid
  • Fans: Noctua NF-F12 iPPC

I'll also spare everyone extremely large images, I have a link here to the google drive with the higher resolution versions.

Also had fun taking pictures of the mouse and keyboard just for fun. (and yes, the keyboard is modded with cherry mx green switches. my friend helped me with that).

Just to clear everything up. I currently have the fans blowing outwards of the case. So they're an exhaust and all the holes act as passive intake making it a negative pressure build. However I've looked into getting fan filters for all the possible points of entry to reduce long term dust build up (even though it's a lot harder when it's a passive intake).

Also lets not forget temps, On the serious business side of things, in this config. I don't go above 54 Celsius under full load on CPU or GPU while the ambient temperature of the case is well below that. Any passive intake spot feels cold to the touch and the exhaust is an oven leaving all the hot air that would've been in my case otherwise.

Thankfully, (yes thankfully). The loudest thing in the computer is the Western Digital black drive at the bottom even under full load even when the western digital drive isn't in use, it's still more audible. Which means no matter (mostly) the scenario I will have a quiet PC during full load scenarios while still having a computer small enough to fit on my desk. sweet.

Also as a side note, I haven't weighed it yet, but this thing is dense. Like this thing is decently heavy for it's size. I'll have to weigh it and post that.

That's about it, if anyone is curious about anything or any questions let me know! This build was pretty interesting and I would say the hardest part would be fitting the GPU in. The current position it's in right now is the ONLY way I was able to get it to fit.

Looking very nice! I can't help but notice the different fin densities of the rads

Where did you get a K65 with MX Greens?

Edit: Oh I see they are modded.

I agree completely  :)

Yeah no kidding, the h55 and the 980 hybrid radiators definitely look different up close in those terms!

Haha, yeah I would have bought the k65 if they were in Greens, but it works well modded xD

Are the switches PCB or plate mounted?

It's like... mounted on a plate, then soldered to the PCB. However there's not enough space between the plate mounting holes for the switches to hot swap the switches without de-soldering (Trust me, i've tried and tried lol) However, you can definitely modify the plate to hot swap switches. You'd have to widen the plate where the clips extend out left and right. It'd uh... probably take a long time to do that however, but in the end you'd be able to hot swap switches lol.

Alright, so I decided to take some more pics. (since i'm realizing the original ones had a pretty bad light scenario).

I also decided to do an animation of the sidepanel placement going back onto the case (higher quality version in google drive link). It actually places back on the case with ease I might add.

Larger photos and higher quality animation in this google drive link:

Enjoy!

This looks so great. I'd really like to have something similar to this (or, well, exactly like this...) but have no valid reason/excuse to ditch my current R5 + full size components. :P

How're temps?

idle, it's around 30c, under full load it's never gone above 55c while still at around 1000 rpm fan speed.

I want to do exactly the save but with a EVGA 980Ti Hybrid.

Is it still running fine?

Also could you have used thinner fans on the radiators to save more space?

1 year and a half has passed. So how was it? It is still running? did you do some upgrade? you still have it?

Cool to see interest in the build still! Yeah so the build is still running strong and have to say I don't think I'm switching cases for any new components I get in the future. Definitely never gunna go back to mid tower for my main rig. If I got a new  video card, I'd sell the one I have and get another EVGA hybrid because I know the tubing is flexible enough.

This is easily the best cooled pc I've ever owned. Simply because the heat is manged by two radiators and makes a big impact on temps. The cpu/gpu under full load for 3+ hours at 100% load will get to about 61c capped, and I've never seen it go higher than that. Also, I will never go back to a mid tower ever again, simply because I like to transport my computer around a lot.

If anyone wants to give this type of ncase build a go, I'd recommend making sure the tubing for the radiators isn't stiff, the evga branded gpu's tubing seems to work well for this. I can recommend getting an evga aio cooled GPU because of that for this type of build. I don't know about other aio GPU brands though.

This is amazingly interesting! Just one question: did you connect the fan for the GPU radiator to the motherboard?
