Hi,

I'm currently using 2x4gb ram 1333mhz and was wondering if i replaced it with a 1x8gb 1600mhz ram stick ?

would it make any differences?

Little to no difference, you are only doing it to make room for upgrades later.

If you have room to buy and place in your system 2 more 2x4gb sticks to match your first ones and upgrade from 8gb to 16gb. after that you pretty much don't have to worry about ram ever again.

i7 4790k - Corsair H100i - Asus Z97-AR - Corsair Vengeance Pro 4x4GB

Kingston 120GB SSD - Seagate 1TB 7200RPM - Asus Strix GTX 970

Corsiar Graphite 230T ATX Mid - Coolermaster V700
