I think it performs similarly to IC diamond, it's a very thick paste, but if you have a cooler with enough pressure (Any modern cooler that's not the stock heatsink) it should spread on it's own. If you already have it, it's fine, if you are gonna buy some, there are cheaper alternatives that are simpler to apply and perform as well or better, however, in TIM standards, half a degree is better, so i wouldn't really worry over that.

Its the only paste ive used for a few years now so really dont know how it compares to others. I may buy a few more brands to test, i have some extra $$ in the budget this month.

Any recommendations?

Being as thick as it is, it spreads fine never had any problem. I dont remember where i got it, but i know i didnt buy it.

Thermal paste isnt much of a game changer for temps, if you are curious or simply want the very best, Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaut is the most exciting thing that has shown up in the market recently, but, expensive. Hydronaut is excellent too, PK-3/2 are excellent, Gelid extreme was the top dog before thermal grizzly. The thing is the highest end TIMs are expensive and don't really improve temps unless you're talking about extreme scenarios (LN2, DICE) but you can try one, a small tube should still be relatively cheap. Avoid liquid metal alloys tho, they are mostly for delidding and can be a huge pain, and VERY expensive,

If you want to do testing i would add an average one, cause those 3 are all very good and might be harder to see a difference, something like MX-2 or a cooler master one.

I have Grizz on a Pentium cooking right now for a few hours. I was getting very strange results yesterday when i did this, couldnt figure out what was happening other than a mounting issue maybe.

Hi, just got a tube to play with. One question, normally I use the "pea" method to apply it to CPU. However I saw a video that shows using the tip to apply and spread the paste.

Which way you guys use for this particular paste? Thanks.
