Where are you from? I pay around $40/month for a 24Mbps but because the ISP is crap, only 12 Mbps comes through and because the copper wires are crap as well, I only get 7Mbps.

I live in Indonesia where technology is crappy as hell ,no optical fiber available here and internet is really expensive

South Africa. Its not great but its meant to be unlimited data, but if you download more than the average person on that line they start shaping you whereby the slow ur speed to about 512 kbps.

What? I thought UK had fiber optic...

Most of the towns and that have, not out here though. They're running a few years behind where they should be.

I pay $105 for the internet, phone calls and TV. We're promised 100/10

It may seem cheap but the service is horrible. Most of time it's down or unstable.

Still a large majority of the UK don't have fibre yet, the government want 2/3 of the country to have fibre by end of 2014, but they're already behind so I doubt it, Also rural areas have poor internet, Like where I live :(

I pay around 55€ for fibre optic cable TV/Phone/Net 100Mb/10Mb (although I get 94Mb/23Mb with a ping of 4ms). It includes the rental of the tvbox and router (you can't have your own). The phone calls are free for all land lines.

$0 I get a 3x3 connection from work so I don't really complain about the slow speed or the poor QoS.  Though I should. :(

Laws only govern the honest.
