5-6 hours a day maybe. I turn it off whenever I'm not using it. Even if I will only be gone for an hour in between working, I will still knock it off or at least put it to sleep if I have a load of documents open that I will be still using. I don't see the point in wasting energy. Anyways sure it half defeats the purpose of having an ssd if you never get to see how fast it boots up  :).

Rig: i7 2600K @ 4.2GHz, Larkooler Watercooling System, MSI Z68a-gd80-G3, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHz CL9, Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3x 2GB OC, Samsung 840 250GB, 1TB WD Caviar Blue, Auzentech X-FI Forte 7.1, XFX PRO650W, Silverstone RV02 Monitors: Asus PB278Q, LG W2243S-PF (Gaming / overclocked to 74Hz) Peripherals: Logitech G9x Laser, QPad MK-50, AudioTechnica ATH AD700

Most of the day. I would run it less if I had an SSD but my current hard drive takes so long to boot up with.

CPU: AMD FX-8350 | CPU Cooler: H80i | Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 | RAM: 8GB Kingston Beast 1866MHz

Case: Define R4 | GPU: Gigabyte GTX 780ti | PSU: Corsair CX600M | SSD: 250GB Samsung 840 EVO

.... and a Partridge in a pear tree!

I need to restart my PC due to automatic updates. So yeah, I'm counting on it to run longer than my longest uptime. I've been running 2/7 for a few months before I reformat my computer.

I leave it on. I only reset it when it chugs and I only turn it off when I won't be home for several days
