It's on about 14 hours a day, same as me. I can't understand why some of you people leave it on 24/7. How high are your power bills?

I'd say mine is on about 5 hours+ a day, Don't leave it on when i'm at work or asleep unless i'm downloading something, If it's not doing anything might as well save some power :)

As long as I'm using it.

It goes on when I'm using it, and off when I'm done. So usually 4-8 hours a day.

It depends. In the summer when I have no school I have it running for like 12 hours. In the winter, more like 4-5. But even then, if I want to download a big file I can leave it on overnight or while I'm at school.

I turn it on when i get up around 12pm ( On school holidays at the moment ;P ). And i leave it on until i sleep, which would be 2-4am in the morning. The only time i leave it on overnight is if im defragging or running a virus  scan also when im downloading. Approx 14hours a day on school holidays. And when im not on school holiday computer is approx 6 hours on.

Only for a few hours, then turn it off. If I wanna go back on it, turn it back on again. Leaving it on 24/7 is a waste of electricity.

Nowadays computer uses less than 100watts... Electricity bill is measured by kilowatts(1000watts I think)
