Calling all Calculus smart people! Need homework help

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hello all, currently.. I am in Calculus II and in some need of three homework problems. If anyone can help me work through them, that would be great!! The subject in detail is Infinite Series and if it diverges or converges, and what test.. I know LTT has a lot of smart people on here. I'm just stumped... thanks!!

1. conditionally convergent, it fails the p test since 1/root(n) > 1/n (it passes alternating series test I believe, hence why it's conditionally convergent and not divergent)

2. absolutely convergent since it passes the p test of 1/n.

3. I forgot this shit

1) conditional, trivial to prove

2) absolute, by taking the absolute value of each term, demonstrate that series where the sin terms are replaces by a 1 converge (use integral test), then by the squeeze theorem the original series converges aswell.

3) method of difference.

ans.  = 1

edit:

For Q3 you can also use partial fraction decomposition and the the series {sum (1/n) from 1 to inf = 2},  to show that the result is 1.

Don't do your homework..

Take it into the teacher next time you see them, ask to speak to them privately

Tell them that you struggled with the homework, and could use some extra help with the topic

you will thank me later
