Looks great! Nice job :D

Looks like someone likes corsair :P

Only thing I would change is swap the 970s out for the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming, it is definitely worth the little bit extra over the windforce, you get a binned gpu, backplate, and glowing logo. (The backplate can help with cooling a bit, and greatly helps reduce gpu sag.)

Drastic overkill. There's no need for 2 970's with a 1080p 60hz monitor.

Do you really need a DVD player?

All that money spent and no SSD? Serious mistake there.

OEM OS? Why?Just get a regular version of Windows 8.1

Plus, for a 1080p monitor, that is total overkill on the 970s.

Invest into an SSD.

The Enthoo Pro is probably a better case. And cheaper.

No need for a case fan with the Enthoo.

true, but i haven't gotten around to buying one yet, i need it to run some newer games like GTA V and Witcher 3 at ultra, i hate frame dips and its always been a dream of mine to have 2 way sli, also with this way i can seamlessly upgade to a 1440p monitor without worrying about FPS

Why is that?

The motherboard is really just a $$$ motherboard. It is really just for asthetics. If you are into those things and got $$$ to spend, go ahead, but a ASUS Z97-A is enough really.

Why is that?

1. get an ssd for the os

2. mobo does not affect game performance . if you need all the features with that board then get it. but in my builds I just go with 90-120$ boards. they should support oc and other stuff you will never use. that board wont affect performance so i would downgrade the mobo and put that money to an ssd or cpu

I got the Z87 A nfc for my build. Just came in yesterday. Its good enough for me and as a bonus it matches the build

I've already built this by the way, i was just wondering how it was, if it was balanced and if it is an overall good first attempt at a build

I admit, Asus is great and I personally own a Asus board myself...and the ROG board look damn good, but whenever I recommend people what product to buy, I always have the mindset of function over form. But hey if I can't convince you to save some money...then feel free and buy it, it won't be a bad buy as the ROG board are great, it just might be something you may or may not regret later on.
